You are invited to Oregon Food Bank’s Virtual Post Legislative Community Celebration!
Dear Partner Agencies & Community Members,
Every year the Oregon State Legislature comes together to pass policies that will impact the lives of Oregonians. The 2021 Legislative Session presented a real opportunity to enact policies in response to the needs and demands of our communities in this unprecedented time. That’s why Oregon Food Bank’s goal this session was to urge our lawmakers to rise to this moment and change policies that create and perpetuate hunger and poverty.
As an Oregon Food Bank Community, we embraced that important work. Over 2,560 OFB community members advocated through email, phone calls and testimony this session. Together with our partners and community leaders, we helped win important changes this session for racial justice, for economic justice, for immigrant rights, and for Oregonians facing food and housing insecurity. So now what?
Please join us for Oregon Food Bank’s 2021 Post-Legislative Session Community Celebration on Thursday, July 29th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm to celebrate the big wins we all achieved this year and to look forward to the work ahead. Spanish interpretation will be available, we will have music and fun, and will be hearing from amazing community leaders!
Questions? Need additional interpretation or accommodations? Please contact Leann Knapp at firstname.lastname@example.org
PS: Don’t forget to share this event with your friends and neighbors who want to join the work to end hunger and its root causes.
