Updated: Mar 11, 2021
Dear Community Partners:
We can still use some volunteers for our upcoming vaccine PODs:
Feb. 25th – NO additional volunteers needed (thank you!)
Feb. 27th – OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERS
March 4th – OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERS
March 6th – OPEN FOR VOLUNTEERS
Moving forward, we are planning to host a vaccine POD every Thursday at Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario, and would like people who are interested in volunteering to please reach out to Jose (cc'd here, phone number below). It would be helpful if you let him know if you are available to help every Thursday, or just one.
Thank you so much!

A Conversation About Resilience in Native American Communities
Please join us Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM (PST)
The intent of this conversation is to foster cultural competency among health professionals to serve Native American Elders. A focus in this session will be the Q&A. Objectives
Explore an overview of American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) history to build understanding of intergenerational trauma, personal trauma, and mistrust of institutions which have resulted in health disparities.
Discover several models/tools/resources that can be used to provide services with more cultural humility to our AI/AN patients.
Use the Q&A forum to answer specific audience questions and share personal and professional experiences from three Native American professionals across the social work and public health fields.
Presenters
Kerri Smith Slingerland, LCSW, MS, CBIS, CADC III (she/her/hers)
Darin Smith, MPH, MSW (they/them/their)
