Oregon DOJ’s Civil Rights Unit is hiring 6 Bias Response and Sanctuary Promise hotline advocates. Advocates will provide direct victim/survivor services on our daytime hotline, engage in outreach to our communities about Oregon’s sanctuary laws and hate crime laws, and develop and conduct training for law enforcement and community partners. Bilingual and multi-lingual advocates are needed! Two hotline advocate positions will be based out of Salem, with additional positions in Pendleton, Medford, Bend, and Oregon’s north or central coastal communities. Remote work and work from home are our current standard; please consider applying from any home base location in Oregon.
If you have experienced exclusion or bias or are from a community impacted by inequity, you bring an important perspective to this work, and we encourage you to apply.
The application deadline is October 12, 2021. Please share the posting widely.
